A NEW PARADIGM
During June 2005 the USA adopted an anti-natural therapies law called Codex Alimentarius which is designed to put all natural therapists, including aromatherapists, out of business by December 31, 2009. Under Codex Alimentarius, essential oils are labeled not as beneficial healing agents but as toxins that need to be regulated by pharmaceutical companies and medical doctors.
This Codex is slowly being implemented in the USA and Canada at the expense of natural organic foods, natural organic herbs and natural health practitioners. We suggest you subscribe to the NTCB News to keep fully posted on current developments as the Codex Alimentarius Commission, the FDA and the drug industry attempt to implement their rules and regulations to put you and the rest of the industry out of business. We have only begun to fight!
In the meantime, a new aromatherapy paradigm is needed so aromatherapists can practice their art and science with essential oils without fear of prosecution and harassment by licensing boards in their state, province or country. This new paradigm classifies essential oils under new approved headings that comply with government laws, rules and regulations at the state, provincial and national levels.
MISSION
The mission of Aromatherapy Coach is to teach you the basic coaching skills necessary so you may become a more effective aromatherapy professional and satisfy all the requirements of Codex Alimentarius to continue working in the aromatherapy profession.
The second mission of Aromatherapy Coach is to provide aromatherapy training for aromatherapists who wish to become professionally certified by the Natural Therapies Certification Board (NTCB) and spiritual healers who wish to become licensed as a spiritual healer. There are seven recognized and accredited spiritual healer license boards, which are all members of the Federation of Spiritual Healer Licensing Boards (FSHLB):
Coaching your clients is a process of empowering them to make their own decisions about their own life, health and happiness. Doing this does not make you a life coach. What it does is teach you some basic coaching skills you can use in your profession.

AROMATHERAPY FOR RAINDROP PRACTITIONERS
Aromatherapy Coach has been approved by The Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education for their Raindrop Training program. We offer courses in aromatherapy coaching only or in aromatherapy coaching and essential oils to satisfy the requirements of both CARE and the NTCB.Those CARE practitioners who know the benefits and cautions for most essential oils for the purposes of first aid, stress management, pain management and quality of life enhancement, are not required to take additional training in the essential oils. They are welcome to take only the coaching training.
